In numerology, the number 1 symbolises new beginnings, leadership, and individuality.

This is the beginning of a new 9 year cycle, I for one am excited to see what it has in store for me!

The Magician acts as a vessel, they do not create change through control or force but through purpose. They have an open channel to the divine. They download ideas and allow them to emerge through art, knowledge, teachings and right action.
The Magician is here to help those on a mission to achieve big goals. In order to do great things you cannot be all over the place. We are getting too accustomed to double dopamining – scrolling our phones while watching a movie, listening to a podcast while taking a walk.
The magician brings you to a singular focus. Utilising all your skills, knowledge, wisdom and power to a laser beam of attention.
The tools on the magicians table represent the 4 domains of the human experience – the sword, cup, wand and pentacles can be summed up as follows:

The Magician is resourced in all four with a strong connection to the divine. A faith. He will achieve his desires, he has everything he needs available to him for successful outcomes.
As a guide the Magician helps us sort through the mental, emotional, energetic and physical elements a situation requires He determines and channels attention in the direction of what is important.
The magician creates the world in the sense of giving meaning to things and choosing the direction they go next and what action to take. In order to reach your potential and embrace the opportunities that life holds you have to direct your will into action.
Becoming conscious is the first step to manifesting miracles, are you doing life or is it just happening around you?

I can’t talk about a ‘one’ year and leave out the magic of the Tarot Aces in the minor arcana. They bring in fresh starts and new beginnings. Going into this year the promise of opportunity requires you to meet it with a beginner mindset.
