Tarot Night School
Imagine cosy evenings this winter, settling in and pulling a Tarot card to journal about your day, receive guidance from the universe & have a whimsy offline moment on the sofa with candles lit, your blanket, favourite tea and journal.
Hey Friend!
Learning to read Tarot can feel like ALOT in the beginning, you pull out your deck when you need answers, clarity and direction.
But you pull a card and your mind just goes blank. You second guess your instincts. You turn to Google - the meanings don’t always relate to your situation - you‘re left even MORE confused - is your intuition offline? What does this card even MEEAANNN? “I can’t be doing this right” ,shoves tarot deck aside.
So you head back on Instagram watch another collective reading and yes it resonates - it’s comforting, but it’s all a bit generic. “Energetic shifts”, “divine timing”, “your soulmate is coming”, “abundance is on the way”, “this is your season of self-care”. Entertaining yes, helpful - sometimes, directly speaks to your situation - NO, gives you hard truths you’re avoiding? - Never.
It’s giving affirmation over accountability.
Generic google meanings & collective readings are not your personal truth. If you are not actively part of the process you are missing the magic of Tarot - getting to that deeper level of self-awareness and real transformation.
The way I see it, you have two options:
Spend £££ booking a professional reading and leave your own deck to get dusty on the shelf.
Keep watching collective readings that resonate but don’t get answers tailored specifically to you.
But what if I told you there is a better third option?
Join Tarot Night School & learn to read tarot without the panic, without Google, and certainly without Chat GPT.

Leaning primarily on the little guide book
Memorising or learning by rote
Deferring our own free will or sense of agency over to the cards
Assume Claire is the all knowing one & outsource your own agency
Questions you might be asking:
How is this delivered?
Zoom, Monday evenings 7-9pm approx for 8 weeks. Group Chat is hosted inside the Slack app.
What if I can’t join live?
Replays will be available inside the Slack Community.
What is the time commitment?
Individual workshops will be approxiametly 1-2 hrs. Outside of the live sessions it will be a few hours across the week to absorb the learning, put it into practice and integrate the ‘coursework’ exercises.
Can I use any Tarot Deck?
No. You’ll need a fully illustrated Tarot deck (so not a pip deck, not an oracle deck and not a Thoth, Lenormand or Marseille).
If you aren’t sure just ask me if the deck you have or intend to buy is suitable before we start.
Decks I recommend for this course –Any kind of Rider WaiteSmith (RWS) based Tarot Deck –such as The Modern Witch Tarot, Tarot Vintage, The Light seers along with the original RWS.
You don’t need to have the same deck as everyone else but the decks above will work better with the course materials.
Will I need anything else?
No, but I invite you to keep a record of your experience & your readings. That can be in a journal of your choosing including digital formats.
Will I get any other support?
Yes – this is exactly why I created the Slack Tarot School Group Chat. I will pop in there daily to chat, share and answer Qs for the duration of the course (and beyond). I don’t take authority in that space though - you are all welcome to contribute, answer questions, give opinions and advice if it’s asked for. Past students retain their access for as long as they wish - we are building a thriving community of tarot enthusiasts.
